Terms of Service
The terms and conditions governing the use of our website and in-home appliance repair services.
Last updated: October 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Phoenix Appliance Repairs website and the in-home appliance repair services we provide. By requesting a repair, contacting us, or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Services
Phoenix Appliance Repairs provides in-home domestic appliance repair services across Kuilsriver and the greater Western Cape, including the repair of fridges, freezers, washing machines, tumble dryers, ovens, dishwashers, aircons, and cold rooms. All repairs are carried out on-site at your premises unless otherwise agreed in writing.
2. Quotations and Pricing
Any quotation provided is an estimate based on the information available at the time. A final price may be confirmed once the technician has physically inspected the appliance. Prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and exclude any applicable VAT unless stated otherwise. A call-out or diagnostic fee may apply and will be communicated before your appointment.
3. Repairs, Parts, and Warranties
- We use genuine or quality-equivalent replacement parts where possible.
- A workmanship warranty may apply to repairs carried out; the duration and terms will be confirmed at the time of the repair.
- Manufacturer warranties on fitted parts are subject to the respective manufacturer's terms and conditions.
- We are not liable for faults arising from pre-existing damage, misuse, wear and tear, or third-party intervention.
4. Appointment Scheduling and Cancellations
Appointments are scheduled by mutual agreement between you and Phoenix Appliance Repairs. We will make every effort to arrive within the agreed time window. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us as early as possible. A same-day cancellation fee may apply where a technician has already been dispatched.
5. Your Responsibilities
- Provide safe and reasonable access to the appliance at the agreed time;
- Provide accurate information about the fault, make, and model of the appliance;
- Ensure the work area is safe and free from hazards;
- Settle invoices in full in accordance with the agreed payment terms.
6. Payment
Payment is due upon completion of the repair unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in writing. We accept payment methods as agreed with you at the time of booking. Overdue amounts may attract interest at the maximum rate permitted by law.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Phoenix Appliance Repairs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid by you for the specific repair giving rise to the claim.
8. Use of Website
You agree to use our website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, or restrict the use of, the website by any third party. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the website at any time without notice.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including logos, text, graphics, and design — is the property of Phoenix Appliance Repairs or its licensors and is protected by South African intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce or republish any content without our prior written consent.
10. Govering Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised “last updated” date. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
